1. Data Controller

The Algo-Arena website (accessible at algo-arena.com) is operated by its founding team. For any questions regarding the protection of your data, you can contact us at the following address: contact@algo-arena.com or via our contact form.

2. Data Collected

We only collect the data necessary for the service to function:

Email address and first/last name (for authentication and communication purposes).
Votes cast (linked to your account ID).
Notification preferences and profile settings.
Connection logs (IP address, date, and time) for pure security purposes.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

The processing of your data is based on the execution of the contract (aimed at providing the voting and profile service) as well as our legitimate interest in ensuring the security and proper functioning of the online platform.

4. Retention Period

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active on Algo-Arena. In the event of an account deletion request (which can be done from the 'Settings' area or upon simple request), your personal data is deleted within a maximum of 30 days. Aggregated scouting votes may be kept in a completely anonymized manner for statistical purposes.

5. Subcontractors & Data Transfers

Algo-Arena uses Supabase Inc. for authentication and secure data storage, with servers located in the European Union (EU-West region). Supabase is GDPR certified and acts as a processor. In addition, we use Vercel to host our web interface.

We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with data brokers or third parties for advertising purposes.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

In accordance with current regulations (Art. 15 to 22 of the GDPR), you have the following rights:

Right of access and portability — Via your user interface (Download my data).
Right to rectification — Modifiable directly from the 'My Profile' area.
Right to erasure — Via the 'Delete my account' button in the settings.
Right to object — Regarding the sending of communications.

To exercise your rights or for any complaint, contact support: algoarena.contact@gmail.com. In the event of persistent disagreement regarding the processing of your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

7. Technological Cookies

Algo-Arena uses no cookies for advertising or tracking purposes. Only strictly necessary technical cookies or local tokens (JWT) are used to maintain your secure login session if you are a member.
